Agent behavior or workspace controls
Claude Code supplies the coding agent and tools. intentic supplies the workspace around the run: sandbox setup, connected services, sharing and the step that lands accepted work. The two solve related but different problems.

Local execution is not local Claude inference

Bring your eligible Claude account or configured provider access and keep the native agent. Review its changes in intentic, or delegate other tasks to another supported runtime. Your provider terms and limits still apply; intentic does not resell or bypass Claude access.
When to choose Claude Code
Use Claude Code directly if its terminal, IDE or hosted workflows already cover your needs. It is a good choice when you want Claude's agent behavior without adopting another workspace. Add intentic when shared environments, cross-runtime tasks or a separate acceptance step would help.

What are free, open-source alternatives to Claude Code?
OpenCode is MIT-licensed and Codex CLI is Apache 2.0. Their software is free, but hosted models can cost money. intentic is also MIT-licensed, but is a workspace around agents rather than a substitute agent or a way to get free Claude usage.
How much does Claude Code cost?
Claude Code is included in eligible paid Claude plans; Pro is $20/month and Max starts at $100/month. API/provider access can be billed separately. The free Claude plan does not include Claude Code. Check current usage limits and extra-credit rules before choosing.
